Choosing where to start your Newcastle adventure shouldn't be a headache. Whether you’re flying into the region for business or catching the train up from Sydney for a weekend away, we’ve positioned our MG fleet at the city’s two biggest transport hubs to make your transition to the road seamless.
But which one should you choose? Here is the breakdown to help you decide.
The Jetsetter’s Choice: Newcastle Airport (NTL)
If you’re arriving from interstate, the Airport pickup is your go-to. Traditionally, airport car hire involves long queues at a plastic counter and a mountain of paperwork. We’ve changed that.
The Location: Our cars are parked just a 5-minute walk from the arrivals terminal at the Mid Stay car park.
The Experience: No shuttle buses and no waiting. As soon as you land, you head straight to your car, unlock it with your phone, and drive away.
Best for: Fly-in-fly-out (FIFO) workers, holidaymakers heading to Port Stephens, or anyone landing after a long flight who just wants to get moving.
The Commuter’s Hub: Newcastle Interchange (CBD)
Located in the heart of Wickham, the Newcastle Interchange is the gateway for anyone arriving via the NSW TrainLink or the Light Rail.
The Location: Our vehicles are stationed right across the road from the Newcastle Interchange, in Honeysuckle! Simply cross the road, locate your vehicle, unlock it with your phone and drive away!
The Experience: If you’re coming from Sydney or the Central Coast, you can avoid the hassle of city traffic and parking. Simply hop off the train, find your allocated MG in our CBD hub, and hit the "Unlock" link on your smartphone.
Best for: Sydney-siders on a weekend getaway, business travellers meeting clients in the CBD, or locals who need a premium vehicle for a few days.
The Secret Sauce: 100% Digital & Contactless
Regardless of which location you choose, the process remains the same. You won't find a rental desk at the Airport or the Interchange—and that’s a good thing.
Book on Turo: Choose the exact MG3 or MG ZS you want to drive.
Verify: Complete your ID check before you even leave home, straight from your smartphone (upto 24 hours before your trip commences).
Unlock: Arrive at the car and use our secure remote-unlock technology.
The Verdict
Choose the Airport if you’re flying in and heading toward the coast or the northern suburbs.
Choose the Interchange if you’re arriving by rail or starting your journey in the heart of the city.
